A referral sphere is a group of business professionals in compatible, non-competitive professions, such as a lawyer, a CPA, a financial planner and a banker, who work together to find one another referrals. Each one deals with clients that have similar needs but require different services. Therefore, it is easy to generate a flow of high quality, qualified leads by working out a mutully benefial agreement.
Here are some examples of referral spheres: • Hair stylist, the florist, the event planner, the photographer and the travel agent. • Business services: printers, graphic artists, specialty advertising agents and marketing consultants. • Real estate services: residential and commercial agents, escrow companies, title companies and mortgage brokers. • Contractors: painters, carpenters, plumbers, landscapers, electricians and interior designers. • Health care: chiropractors, physical therapists, acupuncturists and nutritionists. To get the most out of your referral sphere: • Identify as many professions as possible that fit into your referral sphere. Create a list of these professions. • Go to various networking groups to meet and begin relationships with those on your list. • Invite these people to a meeting to discuss and formalize your referral sphere. Maintaining the relationships is key. A good way to do that is to participate in groups that put you together on a regular basis, or agree to meet on a regular basis yourselves. • Evaluate the professionals in your referral sphere, that you are presently referring. If they are not reciprocating you may have the wrong profession or the wrong person. Fill the spot with someone who is willing to reciprocate. ***************************** Send a free card to someone right now (not an ecard a real CARD). |
